Let me start by saying I love you.

My Phoenix. My Valkyrie. My Warrior woman.

The microcosm that is me orbits the star that is you.

There are so many parts to what you are and what you became that I didn't fully comprehend because I wasn't meant to at that time but I still loved you until your flames made us embers.

My Light of the universe, you, my love who stands to topple celestials in your wake of moving your wings.

You...everything a dream could ask to be, my Phoenix, my flame.

You burn so bright, your flame crystal like. No amount of days have passed that I don’t miss your flame.

The same light that created the birth of the universe, you carry that in you and you burn so brilliantly. Your shining light is campfire-like. Making a safe space or one that seemed safe in hindsight. False senses like when I feel taking glimpses from behind hands placed over eyes.

See you told me to never look at your flame direct so I let myself be guided by the crackling of your steps, by your warmth through cold winters that lasted too long. As you led I pled to see you for all you were. My words fall victim to your resonance.

Your Phoenix song lead me higher and higher till there was no air for my lungs to pull.

The fool I was for thinking I could follow you when I was never meant to.

You were meant for stars... not the confines of bars of words like love and forever.

I didn’t have the mindset to fully comprehend what you were until I became like you. Consumed by flame just to keep myself warm after you left me in the cold and I love you more than ever now that I understand how you felt. Having lived in the truth of your flame and what it was and what it grew to be.
